The school has a very flexible format, with offline and online classes and night and weekend classes too. This would help students who have other responsibilities complete their degree without much difficulty. Cox College has some admission requirements and though the acceptance rate is high, you must meet these requirements to be admitted.

Some of these requirements require that you submit an official high school transcript or official GED certificate and have a high school cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher. You should have a minimum composite score of 18 or higher on the ACT or a combined score of 860 or higher on the SAT. It is also very important for transfer students to have a minimum of twelve college credits and a cumulative college grade point average of at least 2.0 from their previous school.

The college is a private institution with provisions for adult learning. The university also has some admission requirements that you must fulfill to be admitted. Students transferring to the school must submit an official high school diploma or GED transcript.

The admission requirements include that applicants must have a minimum 2.7 grade point average in high school or have a composite score of at least 50 on the GED.

Admission to the ADN nursing program is contingent upon enrollment in or completion of all prerequisite college courses. Applicants must have ACT or SAT scores from tests taken within five years of applying to the program.

Prerequisite courses for the University of New Mexico nursing programs are English language, General Psychology, Human Anatomy and Physiology with Lab, Elements of General Chemistry with Lab, and Human Growth & Development.
